The Conning Tower flats are part of the Harbour Heights estate designed, according to Pevsner, by AJ Seal & Partners of Bournemouth

has to say about them. I find the Conning Tower rather striking with its curving balconies calling to mind the De La Warr Pavilion in
Bexhill, constructed around the same time. A slight impression of flimsiness is perhaps the drawback here, but it's clean, gentle and
uplifting.
As well as the other Harbour Heights buildings, the modernist houses of Banks Road are just around the corner.
